Day 3 in VFFs

I wore my Vibram Five Fingers again today for a short walk. They were a lot easier to get into this time and my pinky toes seemed to stay put better (hoping they will become less curled in and more straight after wearing VFFs for awhile). I also wore them in the house some. I kept bumping into chair and table legs with the pinky part of the shoe. I guess I usually cut it pretty close, and now that these shoes have something on the outside front, it catches on stuff. I’ll get used to it, and will mostly be wearing them outside, any way. ym7bd4x3ug

I didn’t realise you were so knew to FFs. My pinkie toes are still curled — it’s just the way they are. But I can slip on the FFs quickly without fidgeting with the toe bits.

It takes many toe stubbings to learn your lesson… and you will still probably bump your toes into things. ouch ouch ouch

Thanks, Anna. I’ve already notice that I’m faster at putting the Five Fingers on. I’m really enjoying the feel of them. Can’t wait until I can run in them like you!

I’ve had curled toes from them breaking years ago in High School running and since. … I’ve been running now in VFF for about 2 months (and am doing some barefoot runs on pavement ) and my toes are STRAIGHT! … I never knew that this would happen but its been a very pleasant “side effect” of near barefoot running…
also I feel that there is a natural “reflexology” that goes on while being barefoot or near barefoot … its a different “high” than I’ve ever had running in clunky shoes with build up heels (I’ve always hated that as I am a “toe” runner).
I am sure you will find your toes are straight soon!

That’s great news! Thanks for sharing with us. There are so many direct and indirect (some I’m still learning about, like you) to running barefoot. Glad you are doing some barefoot on a hard surface, as this really helps you improve your form (and straighten your toes, apparently!). Toes crossed my toes straighten up some more. Thanks again, Clynton
